This month provides us with an opportunity to slow down and recognize the individuals who are surviving day to day with ongoing mental health issues. It is not easy living with a mental health disorder and soceity is not exactly rolling out the welcome mat. Here are some ways you can help celebrate the day.

This month provides us with an opportunity to slow down and recognize the individuals who are surviving day to day with ongoing mental health issues. It is not easy living with a mental health disorder and soceity is not exactly rolling out the welcome mat. Here are some ways you can help celebrate the day.
- Choose a Mental Health organization to donate your time or money to.
- Give a hug to someone you know with a mental disorder and tell them that you are not in their shoes but you are here to support them as much as possible.
- Write a personal note or card of encouragement to an individual suffering with mental health issues.
- Share a message about celebrating the day on social media.
We at Alive & Well will be providing resources this month to aid in any way possible to individuals struggling with mental health issues and are in need of support.

After careful thought and consideration about the connection between our inner selves and our bodies, I have come to the conclusion that in order for us to be at our best, we must first consider the way we think about ourselves.
