After careful thought and consideration about the connection between our inner selves and our bodies, I have come to the conclusion that in order for us to be at our best, we must first consider the way we think about ourselves. If we view ourselves as a failure then that trickles down to our bodies and our minds become a sewer for these thoughts. Here are some ways you can avoid getting into this type of mentality.

After careful thought and consideration about the connection between our inner selves and our bodies, I have come to the conclusion that in order for us to be at our best, we must first consider the way we think about ourselves. If we view ourselves as a failure then that trickles down to our bodies and our minds become a sewer for these thoughts. Here are some ways you can avoid getting into this type of mentality.

  • Shake off any negative feelings by surrounding yourself with encouraging people, words and quotes.
  • If you find yourself reverting back to defeating thoughts, take some time to focus on what you have accomplished thus far and how you plan to get to the next step. Remember that what you focus on affects the outcome of what you're trying to do.
  • Take into account the number of negative thoughts you're having and write down a corresponding positive one.
  • Share your thoughts with a trusted individual who will be able to steer you back on track, it can be a family member, friend or a professional.
